WATER WISE

IN THE PINES

Rooted in Excellence

Munds Park is iconic for its tall trees, serene outdoors, plentiful recreation, and friendly community. The community attracts visitors from all over to beat the heat, watch the legendary 4th of July parade, or take a hike. None of it would be possible without water. In Northern Arizona, water is just as precious and important a resource as it is in all parts of the state. Now is the best time to conserve this resource for the good of Munds Park, and Northern Arizona as a whole.

Water conservation means not wasting water and using water as efficiently as possible. Focusing on conservation is an effective way to make sure that we are only using as much water as we need to maintain our desired quality and standard of life.

Tap into Nature

The things we enjoy most about this region are all dependent on water, therefore, it is important that we all do our part to conserve it. This is why in May 2024, Arizona Water Company launched Water Wise in the Pines, an Integrated Demand Management Program (IDMP) that aims to highlight all the ways people in the community can conserve water.

COMMUNITY RESOURCES

The launch of Water Wise in the Pines on May 28th includes the kick-off of the Water Wise in the Pines Facebook page where people in the community can access tips on how they can conserve water, information on local water conservation related resources like rebates, informational videos on important topics like how water gets to the community, and more. Regardless of whether someone is a life-long resident of Munds Park, a seasonal resident, or just visiting to get away and enjoy nature, Water Wise in the Pines will provide relevant information on water resources and conservation for the area.

conservation counts

The goal of Water Wise in the Pines is to provide a centralized hub for information on water resources and water conservation for Munds Park so that the community can be empowered to take action now. While the community is already water wise, our collective consciousness is what protects our shared environment, and ensures the sustainability of Munds Park for those who call it home, whether for a season or a lifetime. This program aims to support that consciousness by making sure that anyone in the area can find relevant information quickly, so that regardless of whether they call Munds Park home or are just visiting, they can be Water Wise in the Pines.
