Water Wise In The Pines
Water Wise in the Pines is a Demand Management Program launched by Arizona Water Company for the Munds Park community.
Did you know that replacing an older washing machine with a new, high-efficiency model is a way to conserve water? Another way to conserve with the washing machine is to make sure it is a full load.Standard washing machines typically use 19 gallons or more of water per load. High-efficiency washing machines reduce water usage by 6 - 12 gallons, depending on the model. If used properly, high-efficiency washing machines can reduce your household water usage by up to 80%.Some homes even have a laundry-to-landscape system where washing machine water can go to trees and other landscape plants to conserve water.
Did you know that taking out an old toilet and replacing it with a new, high-efficiency model is a way to conserve water? Some toilets even use as much as 5 gallons per flush!New high-efficiency toilets only use 1.28 gallons per flush, reducing water usage by anywhere from 20-60%.
